Vice News, the cable news network, has hired former Secret Service agent Joe Biden’s former deputy chief of staff, former House Majority Whip and former CIA Director John Brennan, to co-host its “Outdoorsman” special on Thursday, the network announced Thursday.
The special, titled “Outdoor Soldiers,” will feature former Vice President Joe Biden (D-Del.), his family and Secret Service detail as well as other celebrities and personalities to tell stories about the agency’s work and the challenges they face, and Biden’s family, according to a statement from the network.
The program will be taped at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., and will air on Sunday, May 10, the statement said.
Biden’s son Beau will host the show, as will his former White House chief of security, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Samantha Power, and former Democratic National Committee Chair Donna Brazile.
The Biden brothers, along with former U,S.
Sen. Mark Warner (D), former President Bill Clinton, and the president’s daughter Jill Biden, will also appear on the show.
Biden will also host a “Outback Wilds” edition of the show that will air live on Wednesday, May 8.
The show will also feature a segment with a former U-S.
Air Force pilot who flew missions over Bosnia and Kosovo and Afghanistan.
Biden has been vocal about his disdain for the Secret Service.
In a May 10 speech at the Republican National Convention, he called it “the worst political agency in the world.”
He said in a statement, “For years, I have been a victim of the political game.
It’s a game I’m not playing anymore.”
